Where Supply My Fire Started
The old site had technical issues and struggled to turn visitors into enquiries. It had built up a pile of one-off pages (an /offer page, an old landing page, a thank-you page and brand pages) sitting next to the main product pages. That mattered most because the showroom only opens a few hours a day.
What I Built
- Six product pages for media walls, electric fires, gas fires, gas stoves, wood burning stoves and fireplaces, each with its own FAQs, design options, recent installation photos and Cardiff in the title.
- Area pages for Newport, Swansea, Bristol and Bath, with Cardiff covered by the homepage.
- A homepage with the showroom address, opening hours and map, quote and call buttons in the hero, and logos from the 11 brands they deal for.
- A top bar on every page with the landline, a WhatsApp number, opening hours and the HETAS and Gas Safe badge, with every enquiry going to one form.
- 12 old URLs 301-redirected to the new pages, so links to the old site still land on the right page.
Why I Built It That Way
The showroom is open 11am to 3pm on weekdays and 10am to 1pm on Saturdays, so most people find Supply My Fire when nobody is on the shop floor. I put the phone, WhatsApp and hours at the top of every page and pointed every quote button at one enquiry form.
People search by the thing they want fitted, such as a media wall or a wood burner, so each product got its own page with Cardiff in the title. In April 2026 I took down the separate Cardiff area page because it was competing with the homepage for the same Cardiff searches.
What the Site Has Done Since Launch
Supply My Fire's Google Search Console, comparing September with September because fireplace demand is seasonal. Average positions are for 15 September to 14 October 2026.
"We've seen a 20% increase in leads over the last three months. The fireplace installation pages are ranking great and the Google Business Profile integration is seamless."
