Logistics Delivery Website for DG Express

Where DG Express Started

The old WordPress site had a broken structure, slow pages and no enquiries. Pages lived at addresses like ?page_id=1507 instead of /dgsa-consulting/, and there were no pages for the industries DG Express actually serves.

What I Built

• A homepage built around freight, courier and logistics, with six services, what the vehicles can carry, UK and Europe coverage, and a Glasgow office map with opening hours.
• 3 industry pages: aviation (IATA DGR), laboratories and biotech (UN3373, dry ice, chemical reagents) and chemical and industrial.
• An ADR services page showing the 8 hazard classes they carry, plus a same-day courier page and a DGSA consulting page.
• A quote form with a business-only notice and an optional safety data sheet upload, which shows the phone number if sending fails.
• 301 redirects for every old ?page_id= link and WordPress path, so old bookmarks and links still land on the right page.

Why I Built It That Way

DG Express's customers search by what they need moved. A lab needs a courier for UN3373 samples or dry ice, aircraft maintenance teams need IATA DGR, and a chemical distributor wants someone who will carry Class 8. Each of those got a page that names the materials, and the hazard class list only shows classes DG Express actually carries.

The quote form is set up for dangerous goods work. It says up front that DG Express doesn't do consumer deliveries, lets the customer attach the safety data sheet with the request, and gives the phone number if anything goes wrong.
