Pricing

One price for the whole thing

The website, the local SEO and the Google Business Profile work, all in one monthly number. No build fee and nothing else to buy.

£199 per month, plus VAT

Three month minimum, then rolling with 30 days notice.

Why the price is on the page

Checkatrade will not tell you what you will actually pay until you are deep in the sign-up flow. Rated People and TrustATrader publish nothing at all, and you find out your price on a phone callback.

I keep a public record of what all of them charge in the UK Trade Lead Cost Tracker, with every figure sourced and dated. It would be a bit rich to do that and then hide my own number.

What you get

Everything, for £199 a month

There is no tier above this one and no upsell waiting. The list below is the whole service.

  • The website Custom designed, no template. A page for every service you offer and a page for every town you cover, with quote forms that work on a phone.
  • Google Business Profile Set up, optimised and managed every month. This is the map pack work, and it is where most trade enquiries actually start.
  • Reviews Branded QR cards for the van and the invoice, plus review requests sent by hand each month.
  • Content and pages New pages and posts every month, written for the searches that win you work.
  • Citations and links Directory listings built and cleaned up, then real placements on UK sites: local press, trade publications and suppliers.
  • AI search visibility Schema, llms.txt and content built so ChatGPT and AI Overviews name you, tracked and reported monthly.
  • Hosting and care Hosting, SSL, daily backups, uptime monitoring, updates and small changes. £39 of the £199 is this, and it is already in the price.

£199 a month plus VAT, paid by card through Stripe. Three month minimum, then 30 days notice. You own the site, the domain and the content from the day it launches.

If you would rather see the problem before you pay for the fix, take the free rank check first. I will tell you straight whether this is worth your money.

When you outgrow a retainer

Marketing Department

At some point a retainer stops being the right shape and you want someone of your own. I recruit, train and supervise a marketing assistant who works for you and is paid by you.

20% of their first-year salary, on placement
£199 per month, carrying on as normal
  • Recruitment, from writing the role through to the hire
  • Training on your systems, your trade and your patch
  • A monthly check-in with them and with you
  • Continuous training as they get better
  • Reporting, so you can see what they are producing
  • Replacement guarantee: if they do not work out, I find and train the next one without charging the placement fee again

The placement fee is a one-off. Your £199 a month carries on underneath exactly as it did before. All prices plus VAT.

What it takes to pay for itself

£199 a month is £2,388 across a year. Against the value of a single job, that maths is usually short work. Drag the slider to your own average.

£2,000

At £2,000 a job, 2 extra jobs cover a full year. Everything after that is margin.

Based on £199 a month over twelve months, plus VAT. Gross job value, not profit.

The guarantees

Two promises, one for each half

On the site

Love your site in 30 days, or I refund your first payment.

You have a month with the finished site. If you do not like it, you get the money back.

On the marketing

More enquiries in your first 90 days than in the 90 days before, or your money back.

I can offer that because I do the work myself, and I only take on trades I already know I can move.

Questions

Straight answers on price

Is the £199 plus VAT?

Yes. £199 a month plus VAT at the current rate, so £239 a month including it.

Is there really no build fee?

No build fee. The website is inside the monthly price, which is why there is a three month minimum: it takes me that long to build the site and get the profile work moving, and I would rather carry that cost than ask you for a grand before you have seen a single enquiry.

What is the minimum term?

Three months, then it rolls monthly and you can stop with 30 days notice. The three months exist because the build sits inside the price. After that there is nothing holding you here except the work.

Do I own the website?

You own the site, the domain and the content from the day it goes live. It is not rented back to you and it does not sit on a platform you cannot leave. If you stop paying me, you keep the site and I hand over everything needed to move it.

Why is this so much cheaper than an agency quote?

Because I would rather you started. A £6,000 brochure site plus a retainer is buying the agency overheads: the account manager, the office and the sales team. There are none of those here.

What is the hosting and care part?

Hosting, SSL, daily backups, uptime monitoring, software updates and small changes when you need them. It is £39 of the £199 and it is already included, so there is nothing extra to pay and no second invoice.

What is the Marketing Department tier?

I recruit, train and supervise a marketing assistant who works for you and is paid by you. The fee is 20% of their first-year salary on placement, and your £199 a month carries on as normal. If they do not work out I find and train a replacement without charging the placement fee again.

What is not included?

Ad spend. If you want Google Ads on top, the budget goes straight to Google and I would tell you honestly whether it is worth it for your trade before you spend a penny. Domain registration is roughly £12 a year and you buy that in your own name, because it should be yours.

Ready for a Full Diary?

More enquiries in your first 90 days than in the 90 days before, or your money back. I take on 3 new trades a month, one per trade, per area. If your patch is free, it's yours.
