Pest Control Website for Nigel Caves Pest Control

Where Nigel Caves Pest Control Started

The old WordPress site performed poorly and brought in no inbound enquiries at all. Service content was split between category archives like /rodents and /moles and a second set of service pages, and the blog was a run of seasonal headline posts that nobody searched for.

What I Built

• A homepage with the quote form in the hero, a call button, the no call-out charge offer in a bar across the top, and the RSPH and BPCA credentials just under the heading.
• Six service pages: rodent control, wasp nest removal, bed bug treatment, insect control, wildlife and squirrel control, and mole control.
• Area pages for five towns around Warrington (St Helens, Widnes, Runcorn, Birchwood and Lymm) plus an areas hub, with Warrington itself covered by the homepage.
• Seven guides, such as signs of bed bugs and squirrels in the loft, replacing old blog posts that still had searches behind them.
• 301 redirects for the old WordPress addresses, so each old service page and post points at its closest new page.

Why I Built It That Way

The old site brought in no enquiries, so the new homepage asks for one straight away, with a short quote form and the phone number at the top, and the no call-out charge offer where nobody can miss it.

I launched with a Warrington area page, then removed it in April 2026 because it was competing with the homepage for "pest control warrington". Old WordPress URLs were still showing in Search Console, so I redirected each one to its closest new page and wrote the guides to replace the old posts people were still finding.
