Where Clarent Precision Started

Clarent Precision machines super alloys like Inconel, Hastelloy and Nitronic 50 that most UK sub-contract machinists turn down. The old Wix site had six pages, with every service crammed onto one Services page and no page at all for a material or an industry. A buyer searching for Inconel machining had nothing to land on.

What I Built

• Six service pages where the old site had one: CNC milling, CNC turning, prototype machining, assembly, post-production treatments and stockholding.
• Ten material pages, five of them for super alloys (titanium, Inconel, Hastelloy C276, super duplex and Nitronic 50), plus aluminium, stainless steel, brass, plastics and Delrin.
• Five industry pages: aerospace and defence, automotive, medical, motorsport and pharmaceutical.
• A quality page covering the ISO 9001 accreditation, the CMM in the temperature-controlled inspection room, and the paperwork that goes out with each job.
• Seven technical blog posts, such as Inconel 625 vs 718 and a UK CNC machining cost guide.

Why I Built It That Way

Searches for a single material, like Hastelloy machining, are small, but the people making them are sourcing parts for a real project. So each material has its own page, linked to the industries that use it and back to milling and turning.

The service pages cover what the top four UK pages for CNC turning all include (materials, machine capacity, tolerances, finishing), filled in with Clarent Precision's own figures, such as Ø279 x 413mm on the lathes. I kept the old Wix page addresses so existing links still work, and left Leighton Buzzard on the homepage instead of building a location page that would compete with it.
