EV Charger Installation Website for ChargeAtHome

EV Charger Installation North Yorkshire

ChargeAtHome installs EV chargers across North Yorkshire and the North East from a base near Northallerton. It is run by Equinox Contracts Ltd, an OZEV-approved installer and NICEIC Approved Contractor, and fits home chargers, workplace charge points, school charging and cross-pavement channels for homes without a driveway.

Where ChargeAtHome Started

In every town I checked in August 2026, national installers' location pages ranked next to directories like Checkatrade and Yell, mostly from firms with no real presence in the area, and the nationals make you fill in a form before you see a price. ChargeAtHome, where the engineer who quotes the job is the one who fits it, needed a site that could rank against them and show the price up front.

What I Built

  • Six chargers listed at a fully fitted price, from £916 for the Easee One to £1,142 for a myenergi Zappi, each covering up to 5 metres of cable, installation, certification and DNO notification.
  • A quote form with eight short questions and a request for photos of the fuse board and parking spot, which comes back as a fixed price with any grant taken off.
  • Service pages for home chargers, commercial and workplace charging, school charging and cross-pavement channels.
  • Nine town pages, from York and Harrogate to Newcastle and Middlesbrough, and a locations page listing the rest of the patch.
  • A grants section and a pricing guide, plus short guides for new EV drivers.

Why I Built It That Way

The research showed Google rewarding prices in this trade. Checkatrade won snippets with a "£786 average", and local installers ranked while publishing a fitted price for each charger. "ev charger installation cost" gets 2,900 searches a month in the UK (Google Ads data, August 2026), so every charger carries a fitted total with a full pricing guide behind it.

The installer the client admired earned most of its rankings from niche guides, its grants page above all, while sitting at positions 40 to 90 for the big general searches. So ChargeAtHome got its own grants pages and guides, plus a town page wherever the searches justified one. Middlesbrough and Stockton-on-Tees went in during September 2026 for that reason. Every town gets the same fixed prices, with no distance charges.
